The idea and concept
The goal is clear: to evoke the iconic world of FAIRY TALES through faces, atmospheres, poses, and staging that recall classic narratives, but with a contemporary twist. The project does not simply “remake” Disney images, but reinterprets characters such as Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Aladdin, Alice, and Dumbo within an aesthetic that blends photographic realism and illustrated imagery.
Each image is a hybrid composition, where multiple visual disciplines truly converge: photography, 3D modeling/rendering, AI algorithms, and post-production refinement.

Creative process: photography, CGI & AI
1. Concept and pre-visualization
The project begins with mood boards, sketches, references, and lighting studies. The characters’ personalities, setting, color palette, and poses are defined. At this stage, artificial intelligence can already be used as an exploratory tool—quickly generating variations, visual stimuli, and alternative proposals—to stimulate creativity and support the decision-making process.2. “Basic” photography
Although many final images are digital, photography often remains the starting point: shots of faces or poses, real lighting designed to reflect the 3D scene, real facial textures to use as reference patterns. This step ensures that the digital rendering retains a “human” feel—realistic details in the skin, eyes, and hair.

3. 3D modeling and rendering (CGI)
With the photographic basis established, we proceed to 3D modeling of characters or environmental elements, texturing, lighting setup, and virtual camera positioning. Here we enter the realm of CGI (Computer Generated Imagery): every material, reflection, and shadow is precisely controlled.
